As fall colors appear and a new school year begins, Merrill Area United Way is launching its annual campaign. The campaign brings our community together to support United Way initiatives and trusted nonprofit partner agencies serving individuals and families in need.

The campaign kicked off September 1st with outreach through Facebook, area workplace campaigns, local businesses, yard signs, and the Merrill Area United Way flyer mailed to area homes after Labor Day. The flyer highlights our local Board, the Lincoln County Courthouse, a Techquity Digital Device Distribution Event, and the local agencies supported in 2026.

We also created our first “Making Merrill Stronger” newsletter to share how donor dollars made a difference during the first half of 2026. Based on partner agency mid-year reports and summer site visits by our Board of Directors, the newsletter is being shared with prior donors and is available at merrillareaunitedway.org under the Our Impact tab.

Our impact is possible because of you. Donations from individuals, families, retirees, employee campaigns, companies, and local fundraisers help support programs that serve our neighbors. The community is invited to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day at Lunch in the Lot at Nicolet Bank in Merrill on Friday, September 18th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All funds collected will benefit Merrill Area United Way.
